Anonymous Personality Posters and other chaotic things
Yesterday my Leadership class had their APP activity (held in every homeroom) and things went pretty well: no maimings, no dismemberments and no deaths... and was just in my Leadership class itself! But if you consider the entire school, all 875 kids, weirdos, animals and spazzes and all, it was a great activity that brought each homeroom closer together. We have many creative students who can create many positive works of art. So what if you have a few idiots here and there. Did we get through the day without any major incident? I can answer yes so I am happy.
There were however some details that need tweeking: warning cafeteria staff about the schedule change, letting parents know that their kids won't be home at the same time for lunch, reminding teachers about their duty schedule change... a whole bunch of little fine tunings that canmake this activity even better.
I wish I could say the same about the state of our current plan of action towards a new collective agreement. I don't think fine tunings will be enough. Teachers voted for 3 strike days and I'm not too happy about that. I can see people already taking sides and it irks me. Some our getting on our principal's case and that irks me even more. Mrs. Andrews is doing so much to accomodate us, she is showing her support and there are staff members who openly criticize her. I want to close my eyes and wake up knowing that all of this is over. Bleh. I sense much Chaos coming very soon and this kind of chaos is not pretty. Not even a bit.
