Been reading some books lately (which is a feat for me...rather odd for a teacher to not be into reading)

Daniel Pennac La Fée Carabine (The fairy Gunmother): I usually don't dig French books but Daniel Pennac has this uncanny knack of inserting some kind of subliminal movie along with the words he has put on paper. Scenario, characters, setting... all appear vivdly in your mind like some kind of gritty movie. If only Guy Ritchie could put those images onto celluloid...

Douglas Adams HHGTG : I still laugh now even though I read three times... I can't wait for the movie!

Guy de Maupassant Une Vie : You know, I didn't think so much crap can happen to one character... Soap operas existed back in the 1880s and de Maupassant was quite able to make the mundane dramatic...
